When people think of recycling, they tend to think of separating paper, cardboard, plastic, and glass from other trash into recycle bins. At Capital Deals we take boxes OUT of the recycling bins and reuse them as shipping boxes. We use any item to its fullest potential because we believe the ultimate form of recycling is to reuse. We do not have a garbage can. We avoid buying new. These are choices we make and the basis of our business. What we provide as a business is a service and a place to pass things that you’re not using on to others.

Capital Deals Store Policy

Frequently Asked Questions at Capital Deals:
Q1. How long have you been in this business?
A1. Capital Deals has been in the business since October 2004. We began at the previous location in Frog Town and in December 2006 moved to our current location at 710 Smith Ave .
Q2. Are you a pawn shop or do you take items on consignment?
A2. No, we’re not a pawn shop and do not make any loans. We do not do any consignment. We do buy and sell used goods.
Q3. Then what kind of store is it?
A3. We base our store on Japanese secondhand shops. In Japan, used market is huge. Many reasons: Their land is limited so less land means more cost for landfills and waste disposal. Less land means also they cannot keep stuff around. Japanese have to pay to throw away. Secondhand stores in Japan is totally different from ones in the U.S. They are well organized and clean.
Q4. How do you price used items?
A4. We try our best to price used items fairly by using the internet and common sense. If you see any item priced more than it should be, please let us know. However, please keep in mind that selling used goods is much more work than selling new goods. They do not come in packages and they usually come in many different conditions.
